Matthew A. Reimer
Rabbi Matthew Reimer grew up in West Orange, New Jersey, along with his brother and sister. His father is an attorney, and his mother was an educator in Newark, NJ. He has been strongly immersed in Jewish education and activities throughout his life. Ordained in 2007 by Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, Rabbi Reimer was most recently the Rabbi for The Shul of New York, a synagogue in New York City, which focused on spirituality and music.
Edward Paul Cohn, D.MIN., D.D.
Rabbi Cohn received his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from the University of Cincinnati in 1970, his Master of Hebrew letters degree from Hebrew Union College-Jewish of Religion in 1974, and his Doctor of Ministry degree from the St. Paul School of Theology in 1984.
Cantor Joel Colman has served as the cantor at Temple Sinai since 1999. Previously, he served as the cantor at Temple B’rith Kodesh in Rochester, New York, and as the cantor/educator at Greenwich Reform Synagogue in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Born and raised in New Orleans, EllenRae graduated from LSU with a B.A. in Sociology in 1968 and married her husband John soon after. She and John then moved to Southern California to raise their family, returning to New Orleans in 1991.
Ann Zivitz Kientz
Ann is a proud third-generation Temple Sinai member. Before becoming Temple Educator, Ann chaired various temple committees and taught in the religious school. She also served as President from 2007 to 2009.
