JewCCY volunteer for JServe DayJoin Jewish teens in grades 7-12 for New Orleans J-Serve Day on April 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Mrs. Moore’s Community Garden at John Quincy Adams Middle School.

J-Serve provides teens with the opportunity to fulfill the Jewish values of gemilut chasidim (acts of loving-kindness), tzedakah (just and charitable giving), and tikkun olam (the responsibility to repair the world). Across the globe, on the same day, teens will join together to make their community and the world a better place.

Lunch will be provided, and kosher options are available upon request. Transportation will be provided from the Uptown and Metairie JCCs. Buses will leave promptly at 9:00 a.m. from the Uptown JCC, and at 9:15 a.m. from the Metairie JCC. To participate, please register by April 6. Contact Garrett Moore (garrett@nojcc.org) or Charlie Cox (jewccy@gmail.com) to register.
