Dear Temple Sinai Family,
Welcome to the month of March! I cannot believe it is already here. There is lots happening this month at Temple. Attached you will find the March 2021 Temple Sinai Bulletin. The Bulletin is always filled with lots of information – this month you will find all the details you need about our Annual Gala Event, our Soiree in Slippers, as well as all our Passover observances for this year. Mark your calendars: Passover begins on Saturday evening, March 27.
As we keep saying, everything feels different this year at Temple. However, one thing that has remained consistent is the commitment of both our Sisterhood and Brotherhood and their support of all that we do here at Temple. We couldn’t be Temple Sinai without you. I hope that you will continue to get involved in Sisterhood, which is always on the move, and with our Brotherhood – who will be meeting on-line next week on Tuesday, March 9.
Tomorrow evening I will continue our “Women of the Bible” class, as we shift our focus to the women of the books of the Prophets – Neviim. Please join me on Zoom at 7:00pm for Wednesday Night Live each week.
As this is the first Shabbat of the month, on Friday evening, March 5, we will celebrate all of our March Anniversaries and Birthdays with a special blessing during our 6:00pm Shabbat Evening Service. And mark your calendars for a very special Shabbat on Friday, March 12, as we host a joint service with Congregation Gemiluth Chassodim of Alexandria, LA.
I want to thank everyone who joined us for our Purim celebrations last week: may the light and joy from this festive season remain with us throughout the month of Adar and help lead us toward our preparations for Passover.
Please be well, stay well, and stay connected!
Rabbi Daniel Sherman
