Dear Temple Sinai Family,
Isn’t it great to feel the sunshine once again? I hope that everyone is remaining healthy and getting vaccinated. I enjoyed our Israel programming this past week as we wished the State of Israel a very happy 73rd birthday.
This week I am beginning a new Adult Education Class. I invite you to join me for Wednesday Night Live at 7:00pm on Zoom on April 21 and April 28 as we discuss: “Modern Movements in Judaism Today.” We will take a closer look at the Reform Movement as well as Conservative, Orthodox, and other branches of Judaism today. I look forward to answering your questions.
It has been wonderful seeing congregants join us in-person for Shabbat Services. I want to remind you that we have in-person options for both Friday Evening and Saturday Morning Services. Everyone has done an excellent job of wearing masks and practicing social distancing. We do ask that you let us know if you will be attending in person by making a reservation in advance on-line or by calling the Temple office.
I also want to highlight that on Sunday afternoon, April 25 at 2:00pm, Cantor Colman will be leading an on-line workshop on “Jewish Wedding Music and Traditions.” Cantor Colman will present some of his favorite musical pieces written for weddings and also display some of the creative and artistic modern Ketubbot that are now available. Come learn more about Jewish weddings and hear some beautiful music from the sanctuary this Sunday.
Please stay well and stay connected – I hope to see you on-line or in-person soon.
Shalom u’vracha – peace & blessing,
Rabbi Daniel Sherman
