Temple Sinai is extremely proud to announce that two of our members, Susan Hess and Sandy Levy, have recently been recognized for their many years of leadership and activism in the community.
On October 15, Susan received the 2018 Hannah G. Solomon Award from the Greater New Orleans Section of the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW). This award is given annually to a community leader who exemplifies the dedication to social justice and activism of NCJW founder Hannah G. Solomon, and whose work has focused on issues that are in sympathy with and of importance to NCJW.
Sandy will receive the 2018 Outstanding Professional Fundraiser award from the New Orleans chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) on November 8, in honor of her many years of service as Executive Director of the Jewish Endowment Fund of Louisiana. This award honors a fundraising professional who has made a significant contribution to the growth and development of ethical fundraising in the chapter region.
