On the Saturday evening before Rosh HaShanah, please join Temple Sinai and Touro Synagoge for a very special service to help us prepare for the upcoming High Holy Days at 8:00pm at Touro Synagogue. The service is called “Selichot,” named for our prayers for forgiveness that we begin to offer at this time. The Selichot Service is a “Meditative Beginning to the Season” and introduces us to the themes and music of our Yamim Nora’im (Days of Awe).
This year, we will partner with Touro Synagogue for a wonderful community start to the High Holy Day Season. We will begin with a Dessert Reception and Havdalah, followed by a meditative service led by the clergy of both congregations in a darkened sanctuary, concluding with the sound of the Shofar. We hope you will you will join us for this special Selichot service.
